Ukraine is getting prepared for the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic

Over the last 24 hours, 2,411 people have been diagnosed with Covid-19. This was reported by the press service of Ukraine’s Ministry of Health.

"As of 9 a.m., on September 8, there are 140,479 laboratory-confirmed cases of Covid-19, 2,934 of which were fatal, 63,546 patients recovered. 2,411 new cases have been reported over the last 24 hours. A total of 1,731,877 PCR tests have been performed. 940 patients have overcome the disease over the last day,".

As we reported earlier, yesterday, on September 7, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted a resolution on the procedure of providing additional payments to medical workers who work with coronavirus-infected patients.

They are expected to receive almost six billion hryvnias (216,3 million dollars).

On the same day, a new epidemic zoning took effect in Ukraine.

Many areas of the Ivano-Frankivsk and Chernivtsi regions ended up in the red zone. The capital of Ukraine, Kyiv, remains in the yellow zone.

It is worth noting that Ukraine entered the TOP-5 countries of Europe with the largest daily growth of coronavirus infection.
