Covid-19: Ukraine reports 2,088 new cases, 688 patients manage to recover

Over the past 24 hours, 2,088 new cases of coronavirus infection have been observed in Ukraine. This is evidenced by data provided by the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC).

Since the beginning of the pandemic, 123,303 patients have been diagnosed with the disease: 2,605 have died (+48 per day) and 57,802 (+688 per day) have recovered.

As we reported earlier, Ukraine's Health Ministry Maksym Stepanov said that Ukraine had been provided with tests for detecting coronavirus for several months in advance.

"We are provided with tests, I think, for several months in advance. And constantly, as soon as we have a need, they are immediately bought, fully provided with funds for the purchase of these tests," the minister said.

In addition, the official noted that testing equipment had been significantly updated in Ukraine since the beginning of the pandemic.

It is worth noting that the Cabinet of Ministers has decided to extend adaptive lockdown in Ukraine until October 31.
