France puts on alert 100,000 police officers to control the observation of restrictions on New Year's Eve; while Australia bans gathering of crowds in Sydney harbor, where usually people come to observe the festive fireworks.
China, Japan and India have imposed extra restrictions for New Year night; while the festivities in New Zealand would be held as usual.
The UK, Ireland, Germany, the Netherlands and Turkey also introduce all possible measures to force people staying at home on New Year’s Eve.
As we reported, some of Kyiv’s New Year locations may be closed due to violations of quarantine restrictions, but the country's main Christmas tree is not in danger.
