At psychoneurological hospital #1 in Simferopol, occupied Crimea, the outbreak of coronavirus is observed. Due to the mass infection, the hospital for infected people was deployed as Krym.Realii reported citing Head of Rospotrebnadzor in Crimea and Sevastopol Natalia Penkovskaya.

“Low alertness of medical staff’ is called to be the reason for the outbreak.

“In Simferopol, the so-called Covid hospital with 60 beds is promptly deployed at psychoneurological hospital #1 named after Balaban due to the epidemical situation. In the territory of the hospital, the group infection is registered – 81 people got infected. Almost half of them are medical workers; 56 people are people without clinical implications,” she said.

It is reported that during the admission of the diseased, the data about tests for coronavirus was not demanded, despite the fact that it is an essential condition.

The epidemical investigation continues due to this fact.

As of October 27, none region of Ukraine is ready for mitigation of quarantine. In all regions, the number of new cases of infection makes over 40 per 100,000 of the population during the past 14 days.

35,450 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in the Ukrainian capital over 24 hours. 15 people passed away during this period; 221 people recovered. 12,146 citizens of Kyiv have overcome the disease since the pandemic began.
