Today, March 20, the Ministry of Health of Ukraine has included Odesa region to the "red" zone of epidemiological danger. This was reported on the website of the ministry.

Thus, Kyiv and Kyiv region, Zhytomyr, Zakarpattia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Chernivtsi and Odesa regions are now in the "red" zone.

In the "red" zone, the following is prohibited:

  • work of public transport;
  • visiting educational institutions;
  • visiting cultural institutions, cinemas;
  • work of shopping and entertainment centers, cafes and restaurants.

Meanwhile, Health Minister Maksym Stepanov stated that currently, Ukraine has the lowest rate of mortality from coronavirus in Europe, as he reported during the briefing.

As of today, Ukraine occupies the 36th place on the death rate in Europe.

According to Stepanov, the mortality rate in the UK three times higher than in Ukraine. In France, Poland, and Italy, the death rate is higher than in Ukraine twice.

However, the Health Minister noted that despite the low level of mortality, the Ukrainians should continue to observe all quarantine restrictions and safety measures.
