As of the morning of August 6, 76,808 people were diagnosed with coronavirus infection in Ukraine. Another anti-record for the number of infected has been reported: 1,318 new cases over the last 24 hours. This is evidenced by monitoring data presented on the website of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC).
Thus, 31 people have died in the last 24 hours (a total of 1819 since the beginning of the pandemic). 42,524 patients (+ 997 per day) were able to overcome the disease.
32,465 Ukrainians continue dealing with Covid-19, another 131,177 people are suspected of being infected with the virus.
As we reported earlier, Ukraine expects the second wave of Covid-19 to come to Ukraine in the near future.
"We predict that there may be an increase in the number of coronavirus cases during the epidemic season of influenza and ARVI, i.e. from October 2020 to April 2021," Chief Sanitary Doctor Viktor Lyashko stated.
It was also noted that the health care system and hospitals might be overloaded.
