The Italian government introduced a ban on traveling between regions all over the country; the restrictions will be introduced on December 21 and lifted on January 6. This is mentioned in the Cabinet's decree, writes Corriere Della Sera.
"All sorts of traffic within the national territory between territories of various regions or autonomous provinces are banned from December 21 through January 6", reads the document.
Besides, on December 25-26 and January 1, all traffic between municipalities will be restricted, too; the only exclusion will be made for movements motivated by proven needs of service or health concerns.
According to Worldometer, 1,641,610 cases of Covid-19 were confirmed in Italy so far. 57,045 people passed away since the pandemic reached the country.
