Almost 30 percent of all cases of infection with coronavirus in Ukraine are observed in public transport. Oleg Ruban, the head of the State Customers Service reported that as quoted by Ukraine 24 TV channel.

The official claimed that the infection has been quite a usual thing in shuttle buses where passengers fail to observe quarantine restrictions.

"This is why we need to impose restrictions on the work of public transport, too - or take control over the restriction measures in the transport", Ruban said.

Meanwhile, the World Health Organization (WHO) decided to give advice on how to minimize the risk of getting infected with coronavirus during the New Year holidays because the overall number of cases tends to increase during that period. This was announced by the Director-General of the World Health Organization Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus on Twitter.

We all want to be with our loved ones during the upcoming holidays, but we mustn't be complacent. #COVID19 is changing the way we celebrate, but it doesn’t mean we can’t celebrate. Be safe: follow local guidance, stay with your household & avoid crowds. #InThisTogether,” reads the message.
