The number of those who got infected in Mykolaiv has grown dramatically over the last month. Currently, the hospitals in this south-Ukrainian city are full by 84 percent, reports 112.ua.tv's correspondent.
"Last month, there were dozens of sick people in Mykolaiv per day; today, we observe over 200 sick people in the city and just as many in the region. 429 new cases of the disease were reported over the last 24 hours in the Mykolaiv region (...) Doctors say that currently, young people have been tolerating the disease worse", the reporter said.
A strict lockdown is about to be introduced in the city from March 24 till April 4. The cafes and restaurants will be closed for visitors and will be working in the takeaway mode. Fitness centers and beauty salons will be working only under personal scheduled appointments. Passengers who use public transport will need to carry special IDs. The restriction also temporarily forbids people to visit weekend markets, religious services, and sports events.
The doctors do not rule out that the lockdown may be extended.
