Covid-19 in Ukraine: Almost 6,000 new cases over 24 hours

5,992 new cases of coronavirus have been observed in Ukraine over 24 hours. This is mentioned in the report of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.

Since the pandemic began in Ukraine, 287,231 citizens have been diagnosed with Covid-19. 5,394 of these people deceased (+92 per 24 hours), and 121,919 recovered (+2,269).

Earlier, Healthcare Minister Maksym Stepanov claimed that Ukraine would not procure Russian vaccine from coronavirus, since it did not pass Stage 3 of clinical tests.

Kharkiv and several towns and districts of Kharkiv region will be listed in the "red" quarantine zone due to the growing number of Covid-19 cases. Oleksiy Kucher, the governor of Kharkiv region posted on Facebook.

"It's all serious", the head of regional state administration wrote. 

According to him, the list of these settlements includes Lyubotyn, as well as Bohodukhivsky, Lozovsky and Pervomaisky districts.

Poltava, central Ukraine, will also join the list of red zone settlements. The number of infected here grows rapidly. Oleg Synegubov, the representative of Poltava regional state administration posted that on Telegram. "Currently, there are almost 2,000 sick people in the city; that's much more than in other cities and districts of the region. More than 100 new cases are observed every day", Synegubov wrote.
