Over the last 24 hours, doctors registerred 455 new cases of infection with coronavirus in Kyiv. Vitaliy Klitschko, the mayor reported that on Friday, October 16.
Among the newly infected are: 261 women aged 18-94,; 163 men aged 18-87; 15 girls aged from two to sixteen years old, and 16 boys aged from two to seventeen. 17 of the new patients are doctors.

As of Friday, the overall number of confirmed cases in Kyiv makes 29,412.
Over the last 24 hours, 189 people recovered from the disease; 22 passed away.
As we reported, Kyiv hospitals lack medical workers to treat those sick with coronavirus. Oleg Ruban, the head of State Service for Supplies and Consumer Policy said so in a commentary for Apnews.
"We need more staff and equipment, not the extra beds at hospitals. The most vital problem is, currently, the lack of doctors. 7,000 medical staff resigned over six months". Ruban said.
According to him, in Kyiv's Oleksandrivsky hospital, the beds for patients sick with coronavirus are full by 98 percent. Meanwhile, the average bed occupancy for such patients in Kyiv's hospitals makes 65 percent. The situation is under control, and it's a normal rate for the capital city; it is supposed to remain until the end of the month.
Similar problems are observed all over Ukraine.
