Over the last 24 hours, Ukrainian Healthcare Ministry reported 11,787 new cases of coronavirus. The authority reported that on the official Telegram channel.
512,652 cases have been resgistered since the pandemic reached Ukraine. 233,849 people recovered from the disease (+6,155 per 24 hours). 9317 people deceased (+172 per 24 hours).
Most of the cases over day were observed in Kyiv (1,083), Dnipropetrovsk region (740), Zaporizhya region (727), Sumy region (680) and Kyiv region (672).
Earlier, we reported that the World Health Organization (WHO) could put Russia-made vaccine Sputnik V
on the list of the recommended vaccines for urgent use - as long as it meets the necessary requirements.
The WHO press office reported that, quoted by RIA Novosti news agency.
"The WHO contacted Gamalei research and development institute of epidemiology and microbiology, which showed interest in applying for inclusion of Sputnik V into the list of vaccines recommended by the WHO for the use in urgent situation. So we are eagerly waiting to get the data on the Sputnik V candidate vaccine. If it appears that the product submitted for evaluation meets the criteria to be included on the list, the WHO will openly release the results", the Organization wrote.
