Covid-19 in Kyiv: 374 cases observed over 24 hours

During the past 24 hours, 374 new Covid-19 cases were observed in Kyiv, as Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko reported on Telegram.

35 patients died. Totally, Covid-19 took the lives of 3,309 Kyiv citizens since the pandemic began.

The number of newly infected includes 205 women (21-90 years old), 144 men (18-90), 25 girls (3-17), and 15 boys (1-17).

45 patients were taken to the hospital. The others are on self-isolation under the supervision of doctors.

Over the last 24 hours, Ukrainian doctors confirmed 11,932 new cases of Covid-19, including 564 children and 181 healthcare workers. 

5,052 people have been taken to hospitals during this period; 203 patients deceased, and 3,343 recovered. 76,335 tests have been taken.

Most of the confirmed cases have been observed in Kharkiv (1,150), Dnipropetrovsk (1,083), Lviv (905), Donetsk (841) and Zhytomyr (791) regions.

Since the beginning of the pandemic in Ukraine, 1,644,063 people have contracted the disease, 1,300,625 have overcome it, 31,954 have succumbed to it.

Minister of Healthcare of Ukraine Maksym Stepanov believes that the high mortality rate from Covid-19 is associated with the British strain of the disease, which now prevails in the country.
