Over a hundred of patients of a nursing home in Belgium got sick with Covid-19 after the visit of Santa Claus. 18 of these people passed away, writes Daily Mail.
An actor disguised as Santa Claus visited the care home, and three days after that, he was tested positive for coronavirus. It also appeared that 121 patients and 36 workers got sick as well. Later, 18 of these people deceased.
It appeared that quarantine restrictions were ignored during the Christmas event at this nursing home; many workers and patients did not wear any masks, and the actors ignored social distance.
The country's leading epidemiologists claim that one person could not have infected so many people at a time, and the actual reason for this particular case would be the neglection of safery rules and low aeration inside the rooms.
Earlier, we reported that the mass vaccination campaign kicked off in the EU member countries on December 27. Among the first countries to participate in it are France, Portugal, Germany, Italy, Austria and Spain.
