The German federal state of Saxony is going to create an institution for the “forced placement” of those who have been repeatedly caught for violating Covid-19 quarantine restrictions. It was reported by Bild.
A primary reception center built in 2017 in Dresden is to be converted for this purpose. As the tabloid wrote, in the spring of 2020, Saxon Health Minister Petra Köpping proposed sending quarantine violators to psychiatric hospitals. These plans were abandoned, as were the ideas of placing them in hotels or hospitals.
What will be the conditions and cost of accommodation in the new facility, it is not reported. However, the area is fenced, and the police will be in charge of surveillance.
As we reported earlier, the government of Germany made a decision to extend the restrictions tied with the pandemic.
The current restrictions extended for three weeks until January 31, including retail chains and restaurants. The meetings are possible with a person living in a different household or a circle of relatives living in one household.
Kindergartens and schools will remain closed. In case of necessity, emergency care of children is possible; the education will take place in a distance regime. Moreover, the parents will be able to take a paid vacation to take care of the children.
It is necessary to hold a test during the entrance from the risk zones.
