6,237 new cases of coronavirus infection have been observed in Ukraine over the last 24 hours. This was announced by Health Minister Maksym Stepanov.

Since the beginning of the pandemic in the country, 1,287,141 people have contracted the disease, 1,234,210 (+5,225) have recovered, and 24,852 (+163) have succumbed to it.

The largest numbers of confirmed cases were registered in: the city of Kyiv (513), Ivano-Frankivsk (799), Vinnytsia (514), Zakarpattia (500), and Zhytomyr (438) regions.

Speaking of the number of cases in each region: Kyiv - 513 cases; Vinnytsia region - 514 cases; Volyn region-163 cases; Dnipropetrovsk region - 205 cases; Donetsk region - 171 cases; Zhytomyr region - 438 cases; Zakaprattia region - 500 cases; Zaporozhia region - 88 cases; Ivano-Frankivsk region - 799 cases; Kyiv region - 231 cases; Kirovohrad region - 31 cases; Luhansk region - 34 cases; Lviv region - 300 cases; Mykolaiv region - 119 cases; Odesa region - 201 cases; Poltava region - 156 cases; Rivne region -167 cases; Sumy region - 194 cases; Ternopil region - 215 cases; Kharkiv region - 289 cases; Kherson region - 44 cases; Khmelnytskyi region - 202 cases; Cherkasy region - 140 cases; Chernivtsi region - 436 cases; Chernihiv region - 87 cases.

As we reported earlier, according to Mykhailo Radutskyi, the head of the Parliamentary Committee for Public Health, Ukraine currently does not have the necessary equipment to detect new strains of Covid-19.
