Kyiv's Pechersk District Court seized property under control of former Minister of Revenue and Duties, Yanukovych's ally Oleksandr Klymenko, in Kyiv region, according to court’s materials.
As it was reported earlier, on September, 10 the court considered the petition of the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine and seized the property of Asset Management Company Excelsior LLC (formerly known as AMC Union Finance LLC), which is under control of ex-Minister Klymenko.
All the property the court seized is located in Kozyn, Kyiv region, in particular: an unfinished house, two plots of land of 0.3 ha, a land plot of 0.1977 ha, an apartment of 760.6 square meters, an area of 433.2 square meters, a land plot of 0.0173 ha and a land plot of 0.1569 ha.
Earlier it was reported that the Pechersk district court of Kyiv has chosen a preventive measure in the form of detention of the ex-Minister of Revenue and Duties of Ukraine Oleksandr Klymenko. He is suspected of state funds embezzlement.
As we reported earlier, on May 24, 2017 officers of the National police together with military prosecutors conducted more than 400 searches in 15 regions within the framework of the one-time anti-corruption operation against "Klymenko’s taxmen".
In June, Oleksandr Klymenko was summoned of a suspicion notice of withdrawing 12 billion dollars from the state budget and purchase of business entity and real estate all over Ukraine. In November, law enforcement officers opened a new case against the ex-minister - Klymenko was suspected of treason.
