“The judges left me under round-the-clock arrest,” the report said.
Earlier, on June 15, Judge of the Shevchenko district court of Kyiv Volodymyr Bugil ruled in the case of the ex-leader of Odesa-based cell of the Right Sector organization. Bugil decided to send the suspect under round-the-clock house arrest.
“Around-the-clock house arrest. 60 days. They’ve completely gone crazy. As I said, this decision was made before the trial,” Sternenko wrote.
The court also rejected the suspect's request for the application of a preventive measure against him in the form of personal surety.
The court decision also states that far-right activist Serhiy Sternenko is prohibited from leaving his place of registration around the clock. He is also obliged to hand over the passport and other documents, which give the activist the right to leave Ukraine; the IDs will be stored by the investigator in this case.
On May 24, 2018, the unknown assailants armed with bladed weapons, attempted on the life of the former head of Odesa’s Right Sector Serhiy Sternenko.
According to Sternenko, there were two attackers. One of them escaped and the second was stabbed by Sternenko.
