Security agency detained Boryslav Rozenblat, Ukrainian MP not affiliated with any faction, in Zhuliany airport on the attempt to leave the county for Germany. Oleksiy Shevchuk, the attorney of Rozenblat, reported that on his Facebook page.
“Today, the MP Boryslav Rozenblat was refused to board a plane in Zhyliany airport. Without any court decision, they conducted an illegal search and confiscated passports and a cell-phone. Now he is not let out of the airport,” Oleksiy Shevchuk wrote.
Rozenblat himself also published a message that he had notified National Anti-Corruption Bureau on his trip.
"I personally informed NABU that I was planning a 3 day trip abroad, however, I was not obliged to. Currently, there are no prohibitions for my trips,” the MP writes.
Rozenblat also provided copies of his round trip tickets attached to the notification letter.
As it was reported earlier, the ankle monitor was Rozenblat removed from the MP on October 17. Rozenblat was wearing it since August staying under home arrest.
The officers of National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) have detained the bodyguard of people’s deputy Boryslav Rozenblat on $200 thousand bribe. According to SAP, the bribe was intended for MPs Boryslav Rozenblat and Maksym Poliakov, they are denying it and calling the occurrence a "provocation".
Ukraine’s parliamentary committee recommended lifting MP’s immunity. The regulatory committee of the Verkhovna Rada found the accusations against Boryslav Rozenblat reasonable and shall recommend lifting immunity.
