Ukrainian MP Maksym Polyakov (Narodny Front Faction) refused to electronic bracelet yet again. Maksym Kravchenko, the Prosecutor of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office reported that to the Ukrainian News.
"This is the third time that he refused to wear a bracelet,” prosecutor Maksym Kravchenko said.
Apart from that Polyakov reported that he is no longer registered in Uman, Cherkasy region (Central Ukraine, - ed.). He didn’t inform the law enforcers of his new place of registration.
Maksym Polyakov is suspected of taking bribes and abusing power; he is one of the key suspects in the so-called ‘amber case’. Polyakov and his counterpart Boryslav Rozenblat are charged with taking 15,000 dollar-bribe from a company that intended to change the acting legal frameworks concerning production of amber in Ukraine.
The corrupt MP was stripped of his parliamentary immunity on July 11.
The court set the $12,000 bail for Polyakov and ordered him to wear an electronic bracelet. After paying the bail, Polyakov has twice refused of wearing an electronic bracelet.
