The French government has declared Paris and its suburbs "active zones" for the spread of COVID-19, Le Figaro reports.

The new sanitary measures will come into force on October 6 and will last for 15 days. The new restrictive measures will be announced on Monday at a press conference of the Mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo.

According to them, restaurants can remain open. Classrooms or lecture halls at universities can only be 50% full.

In addition, the government recommends everyone who has this opportunity to work remotely.

Earlier, France has introduced new restrictions due to Covid-19. The country has prepared an updated classification of zones according to the degree of virus spreading. In the zone of maximum danger, bars, restaurants, and cultural objects work only if they strictly comply with sanitary standards.

In the high-risk zone, events with the participation of more than a thousand people and meetings with more than ten people are prohibited. Bars and restaurants close at 22:00.

As we reported, the number of people infected with coronavirus in the world reached 33 million. Covid-19 was detected in 33,058,718 people from all over the world, 998,747 of those passed away. Already 24,411,772 people have overcome the dangerous disease.
