The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny said that he would not mind taking a ride in a tank along Russian Red Square and Arbat. He made such a statement in an interview with Yanina Sokolova, Channel 5 reports.
Zaluzhny appealed to the Ukrainians during the show and asked them to believe in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In addition, to a question from a spectator if he would like to ride a tank along Red Square, Zaluzhny replied: "Apparently, yes. To be honest. And along the Arbat too. But I'd be careful, because this is a memorial place."
Major General, Commander of the Operational Command "North", Chief of the Joint Operational Headquarters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny has been holding the post of Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine since July this year.
Zaluzhny graduated from the National Defense Academy of Ukraine in 2007 and was appointed chief of staff - first deputy commander of the 24th separate mechanized brigade. Then, until 2009, he was the commander of this brigade.
From 2009 to 2012, he headed the 51st separate mechanized brigade. In 2017 he was awarded the rank of Major General. Since 2019, he has held the post of Commander of the Sever Operational Command.
