The MiG-21 fighter crashed at the Borcea airbase in southern Romania. The incident occurred today, on Saturday, July 7, Mediafax reports.
According to the agency, the air base announced an open day. In this regard, the fighter made a demonstration flight, to look at which several thousand people gathered there.
The fighter collapsed on a field near the base and exploded after striking the ground. Firefighters are working at the scene.

The border guards declared alarm and informed NATO security bodies. In addition, the Swedish multi-role fighters of the fourth-generation Saab JAS 39 Gripen were launched into the air.
It is reported that the plane after several maneuvers withdrew from the Hungarian airspace.
