Clashes occurred during the protest near the Ministry of Internal Affairs, one person received injuries, reports Ukrinform.
The skirmish happened when far-right C14 member Serhiy Mazur, previously convicted for attacks against Roma settlement, and a group of MPs entered the building of MIA to meet with the security forces. C14 leader Yevhen Karas acknowledged the cooperation of Ukraine's Security Service.
Also, the unknown threw kefir at the reporter of NewsOne TV channel near the building of the MIA during the action.
According to the press office of the National Police, the law enforcement officers have immediately captured the offender.
‘Yet the comrades of the offender tried to stop the police officers by causing a clash. In result, one of the participants sought medical aid with a wounded arm,’ the Police reported.
The law enforcement officers claimed that the man, who threw kefir at the reporter, and three more participants of the clash were delivered to the police department to establish their identity. The legal assessment of their behaviour will be given after primary checks.
‘Now, the reporter is filling a claim, which will be viewed in accordance with the current legislation,’ the Police added.
As of now, there are 50 people near the building of the MIA, some of them are in a balaclava.
The traffic on Bohomoltsya St. is closed right now. Several hundred law enforcement officers secure the MIA building.
As we reported earlier, a hand grenade was thrown in the window of the place of the Assistant of MP Igor Lutsenko Serhiy Mazur. Serhiy’s wife, son, and 61-year-old father were at home when the grenade exploded. The police qualified the incident, as an attempted murder. Mazur, who is the assistant to far-right MP Lutsenko, is a well-known far-right activist. Specifically, he is a suspect in pogroms against Roma settlement in Kyiv. As reported, the effective pogrom and burning of the camp took place on 20-21 April (dedicated to Adolf Hitler's birthday), with Mazur describing it in detail on his Facebook page. In July 2018, Mazur has received a two-month suspended sentence.
Founded in 2010, C14 is named after the 14-word slogan “We must secure the existence of our people and a future for White Children” of American Nazi David Lane. C14 is regularly involved in numerous attacks against civilians, students, journalists, lawyers, social activists, foreigners, minorities, LGBT activists, they often conduct hate crimes and often go unpunished.
