The city where Eurovision 2022 will be held has been officially revealed. The ESC 2022 will take place in Italy after the victory of the Måneskin band.
According to eurovision.tv, Turin won the race to host the 66th song contest, beating 16 other applicants.
Turin will be the third Italian city to host the event after Naples (1965) and Rome (1991).
The Grand Final will take place on Saturday, May 14, at Pala Olimpico, and the semi-finals on May 10 and 12.
“Turin is the perfect Host City for the 66th Eurovision Song Contest. As we saw during the 2006 Winter Olympics, PalaOlimpico exceeds all the requirements needed to stage a global event of this scale and we have been very impressed with the enthusiasm and commitment from the City of Turin who will welcome thousands of fans next May,” Eurovision Song Contest Executive Supervisor Martin Österdahl.
As we reported, at the moment, more than 25 countries have previously confirmed their participation in the 2022 Eurovision; the largest number of participants, which will be presented next year is 44.
