City crews eliminating the consequences of inclement weather conditions in Kyiv, they are cleaning the roads from dirt and removing the fallen trees from the sidewalks and carriageways. Taras Panchii, Vice-Director of the Department of Urban Improvement claimed in the commentary to 112 Ukraine that there are no blocked routes in the capital.
'No more blocked or closed routes out there, all sites are cleared. Currently, the utility services are clearing the dirt left after the water. There are no blocked public transport corridors, the transport works on the usual schedule. No stops in connection with the downpour did not happen. As of now, everything is alright,' Panchii claimed.
According to him, yesterday, the most flooded places in the city were the square near Gulliver mall and Peremohy Square near the Circus.
'We had two critical locations. The first one near Gulliver. Also, the flood occurred on Peremohy Avenue. A large stream of water was coming from Shevchenko Boulevard, and a pedestrian subway was flooded. But the utility services have already dealt with it. As of now we are cleaning the streets from the swamps, the equipment is on the streets,' Panchii claimed.
According to the reporter of 112 Ukraine, a tree was rooted out on Sim'i Khokhlovykh Street. The city crews sawed the tree and laid it on the roadside. Also, the branches of other trees were broken.
