Residents of Mariupol city mark the third anniversary of liberation of their city from militants of the self-styled Donetsk People’s Republic.
On Saturday morning, the armored vehicles convoy and police cars strolled down the central avenue street. Leaders of Ukraine’s Interior Ministry and the National police arrived to congratulate and grant awards to the warriors that released Mariupol back in June 2014.
The local police are working in the enhanced security mode to provide due public order during the festivities.
Mariupol, the large port city in Donetsk region, was released from the pro-Russian mercenaries by fighters of Azov, the volunteer battalion f Ukraine’s Interior Ministry, on June 13, 2014.
