The Chornobyl nuclear power plant will switch to a special operating mode from March 25. This decision was made in connection with the introduction of anti-epidemic measures, reported by the press service of the Chornobyl NPP.
"For the non-proliferation of coronavirus, the ChNPP administration decided to transfer the station personnel to a special operating mode from March 25 on the basis of order No. 376" On the introduction of downtime at the enterprise, "dated March 24, 2021."
The ChNPP administration clarified that at least until April 4, 2021, operational personnel will remain at their workplaces, which ensures the nuclear and radiation safety of the facility.
"Some workers will be involved, when their participation in the production process of the station at one time or another during the downtime will be extremely necessary," the administration noted.
