The world's largest single-dish radio telescope, China Sky Eye will start looking for signals from aliens. Science and Technology Daily reported that on June 2.

"After modernization of the facility, China Sky Eye will officially begin to search for alien civilizations in September", reads the message. 

A leading scientist of the project said that currently, China Tianyan is upgrading its internal equipment. Thanks to high definition support and a great capability of dealing with space noises, China Sky Eye will be able to become even more powerful and sensitive while searching for aliens.

The scientist also claimed that during the preliminary check of the telescope, the experts managed to get mysterious signals, but they need to check their origins yet; besides, he said, searching for alien civilizations will not impede other scientific researches where the telescope use would be necessary.

China Sky Eye was constructed in 2016. It started working in early 2020; on January 12, the media reported that the world's largest telescope was online.
