Chinese specialists detected Covid-19 in three samples of ice cream made from imported products. Tsinghua reported that the incident occurred in the town of Tianjin. 

The samples were sent to the municipal centre of disease control and prevent, and they gave positive results for coronavirus. After that, all storage buildings with the products made by Tianjin Daqiaodao Food Co., Ltd. were sealed off.

"Preliminary epidemiological research shows that the company released a barch of ice cream, using dried milk imported from New Zealand, and the dried whey was imported from Ukraine", reads the message.

1,662 workers of the company were put under quarantine and tested for RNA's of Covid-19. 700 samples proved negative, and the test results of the other 962 are yet unknown.

The government took action to sanitize the environment, and the buildings were quarantined. All those who contacted the infected goods were isolated. The sold ice cream batches are being tracked.
