Lekkhim, Ukraine's pharmaceutical company made a deal about shipment of 5,000,000 doses of the vaccine, including 1.9 million doses purchased via the government procurement system.
Previously, there were two registered vaccines from coronavirus in Ukraine: Covishield (developed by Oxford University and AstraZeneca), and the U.S.-made vaccine from Pfizer/BioNTech.
"The Embassy of Ukraine in Israel ls actively negotiating about the mutual recognition of vaccination passports from Covid-19. Today, it's not about the names of vaccines and their manufacturers. It's about the dialogue between the two countries. These talks can be described as successful already, as they are underway now. Ukraine is among the first European countries that have an opportunity to make the deal happen", reads the message.
In case of the success, borders may be mutually open for citizens of both countries, Ukraine's Embassy says.
