The kit was a result of the joint work of experts from the National Institute for Viral Disease Control and Prevention and a Wuxi-based high-tech company.
As it was stated, the kit can detect the virus within eight to 15 minutes. It is also worth noting that it has high sensitivity and is easy to use and transport.
According to the company, it can produce kits for 4,000 people per day.
As we reported earlier, Ukraine's Healthcare Ministry expects that a batch of tests for coronavirus detection will be supplied next week. Director-General of the Center for Public Health of Ukraine's Healthcare Ministry Ihor Kuzin said this, as quoted by UNN news agency.
"The negotiations on supplying (...) the sets to define the RNA of the new virus are underway, and we hope that we will be able to get these sets next week or a week after that, and run the diagnostics on the national level in the reference labs of the Center for Public Health.
