China has approved using of the Sinovac vaccine against Covid-19 for those as young as three. France24 reports this.

“China has approved the emergency use of a Covid-19 vaccine for those as young as three,” the statement says.

Therefore, China has become the first country to vaccinate children.

It is noted that vaccination for children aged 3 to 17 years will be carried out with the Sinovac vaccine.

At the same time, Chinese officials have said they are aiming to inoculate 70 percent of the population of 1,41 billion by the end of this year.

As a reminder, on April 5, the federal health institution of Canada authorized the use of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine in children 12 to 15 years of age. This was the first COVID-19 vaccine authorized in Canada for use in children and marks a significant milestone in Canada's fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
