Reportedly, the incident took place before the start of the session. After Hennadiy Kernes, the Mayor of Kharkiv asked about MPs' wellbeing and he required to close the doors so the gas wouldn't get in.
'Where is the Police? Protesters sneaked the smoke grenades in, threw them and got the furniture down,' Kernes claimed.
After a short controversy with one of the MPs with the protesters, they threw him into the garbage can, according to the video published on the website of Kharkiv National Corpus. One of their claims is that they are not allowed to the session of the City Council.
The Police of Kharkiv region hasn't commented on the situation yet.
