The Opel car exploded in Dnipro (Pol Avenue, 117) about 10 am as the National Police of Dnipropetrovsk region reported at Facebook.
The 27-years old woman who was at the wheel got injured. She was hospitalized.
The police added that no passers-by suffered in the explosion.
Later the Deputy of the Chief of Communication Department of the National Police of Dnipropetrovsk region Olga Kuznetsova added at the airing of 112 Ukraine that woman’s injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
‘The suffered is hospitalized; she has the open craniocerebral trauma, avulsed wound of the chin and the doctors said that she has the splinter in her left footstep. There is no threatening for her life’, she said.
Kuznetsova also said that according to the police, the suffered stepped into the car about 10 am that was at the parking and drove off for 20 meters before the explosion occurred. The woman was able to get out of the car by herself.
The crime scene investigation team, explosives experts and representatives of the response emergency services work at the scene of action at the moment.
