Two people were injured as a result of a road accident of a Mercedes passenger car with a Kherson-Warsaw bus on Sunday morning near the town of Zolochiv, Lviv region, Interfax-Ukraine reports with reference to Svitlana Dobrovolska, head of the communications department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Lviv region.
"Passenger of the Mercedes is hospitalized, one of the bus passengers injured her legs, she doesn't need serious medical help," said Dobrovolska.
According to police, the accident occurred around 10:30 on the highway "Lviv-Ternopil" near Zolochiv. At the time of the accident there were 44 passengers on the bus.
As Zolochiv.net informs with reference to the bus driver, the driver of the car was drunk.
"I'm the driver of this bus, I drove in the direction of Lviv. With a minor road left a Mercedes driver appeared and he did not give me an advantage in traffic. The driver was drunk, well, in a drunken state - 2.6 per mille. This is all fixed on Drager, the driver was taken to the ambulance," said the bus driver.
Earlier a car accident took place on the bypass road near Vinnytsia today in the morning. As a result of the car accident, one person deceased, seven more injured. The press office of the National Police reports.
The accident took place on August 19 at about 5 a.m. According to the law enforcement officials, the driver of the Volkswagen Passat, which had been heading in the direction of Vinnytsia came over the oncoming traffic. As a result, there was a collision with a minibus Fiat Ducato.
A 33-year-old resident of Ternopil, the driver of the Volkswagen died at the scene. His wife and three-year-old daughter were hospitalized to a hospital with the various degrees of injuries.
Furthermore, five residents of the Ternopil region suffered. They were going on the Fiat Ducato minibus. Three minors from the same bus were delivered to the hospital to be examined.
A criminal proceeding is opened for violation of traffic safety regulations.
