Car accident in Zhytomyr region: Doctors tell of condition of victims

One person is in critical condition due to the accident that took place in the Zhytomyr region. Ihor Zahumennyi, the head of the intensive care department of the hospital in Zhytomyr region claimed this to 112 Ukraine.

‘One patient is in extremely serious condition. He is in in the operating room right now. Two people in consciousness, one without consciousness,’ Zahumennyi claimed.

Viacheslav Melnyk, a duty doctor of the intensive therapy department of Zhytomyr regional hospital claimed that four victims of the car accident were delivered to the hospital.

‘The patients were delivered in a serious condition. All necessary diagnostic tests have been undertaken. They are in the intensive care now. The condition of the victims is serious but stable,’ Melnyk claimed.

At the same time, Ihor Hundych, the Head of the Regional State Administration with the reference to the existing information added that six more victims are in moderately severe condition.

Reporter of 112 Ukraine claimed that the identity of two out of nine people who are in Zhytomyr regional hospital is not established yet.

‘The victims are mainly from Zhytomyr region. The representatives of the Regional State Administration call the relatives to come to Zhytomyr. They will be provided a free accommodation in Sportyvnyi hotel,’ the reporter says.

Reportedly, a shuttle bus and a truck crashed on the Kyiv-Chop highway near Zhytomyr region. As a result of the accident, ten people died and the same number of people injured. The Police claimed that a child and the driver of the bus are among the dead. The driver of the truck is giving testimony.
