Car accident in Mykolaiv region: van's driver placed under house arrest

The prosecutors insisted on the restrictive measure during the court session

Kryve Ozero Court of Mykolaiv Region has chosen the restrictive measure for a driver of a van participated in the deadly car accident not far from Kryve Ozero in the form of the house arrest. The press service of the prosecutor's office in Mykolaiv region claimed this as UNN reported.

"The restrictive measure was chosen for a suspect in the form of the house arrest since 21:00 until 7:00," the message said.

As we reported a road accident claimed lives of five people not far from Kryve Ozero town in Mykolaiv region, southern Ukraine. Another twelve were taken to a hospital with various injuries.

Earlier the court in Zhytomyr has chosen the restrictive measure for the owner of a passenger bus where ten people died in the car accident in the form of the house arrest. It became known about the technical faults of the vehicle during the hearing. The prosecutor confirmed that the brakes went out at the passenger bus during the trip. The suspect belied this information and did not plead guilty.

Reportedly, a shuttle bus and a truck crashed on the Kyiv-Chop highway near Zhytomyr region. As a result of the accident, ten people died and the same number of people injured. The Police claimed that a child and the driver of the bus are among the dead. Moreover, a citizen of Georgia and two citizens of Russia are among the dead. The driver of the truck is giving testimony.
