Canada supports Ukraine and does not intend to tolerate Russia's illegal actions in Donbas and Crimea, said Canadian Foreign Minister Khrystia Freeland regarding the results of foreign ministers of NATO member countries meeting in Brussels.
"NATO once again stated that Russian illegal annexation of Crimea and violence in Donbas can not be tolerated, Canada remains with Ukraine," Freeland wrote in her Twitter.
At the same time, the Canadian representation in NATO stated that the participants of Brussels meeting are looking for a common approach of NATO member countries to Russia. "Deterrence and dialogue are key for ministers," the office said.
Earlier it became known that the Defensive Agreement with Canada will be signed next week.
