California cliff collapse: Three people killed

Three people died on the South California beach; two more were `injured

Three people were killed and two hurt due to the cliff collapse as NBC 7 TV channel reported. 

According to the law enforcers, the incident happened at 3 a.m. Kyiv time on the popular Grandview Beach, a popular spot among local surfers, where many people were having rest at the time.

It is mentioned that one woman died at the scene while two more people were sent to local hospitals but could not be saved later due to their injuries. One victim is still at the hospital, other two got minor injuries. 

No children were injured in the accident, according to SDSO.

For safety reasons city officials have closed the beach from Ponto Beach in Carlsbad to the area south of Grandview Beach. The public is asked to avoid the area. 

As it was reported, on October 15, a magnitude 4.7 earthquake has hit the Sea of Azov on the border between Ukraine and Russia. According to the agency, tremors recorded at a depth of 10 km at 1:42 p.m.
