Border guards will be able to let Ukrainians enter and leave Crimea during quarantine, taking into account the humanitarian needs of such movements. This became known at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, which was broadcast on the 112 Ukraine TV channel.
Thus, the crossing through the checkpoint on the administrative border with Crimea was simplified.
"Departure from the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol and the entry of Ukrainian citizens into it, if there are humanitarian reasons, is decided by the chairman of the State Border Service of Ukraine with immediate information to the Ministry on the reintegration of temporarily occupied territories," - the order says.
As we reported before, Ukraine has temporarily suspended the work of border-crossing points with annexed Crimea in order to prevent the spread of Covid-19 coronavirus in Ukraine.
So, according to the decree № 291-р of the Cabinet of Ministers, it has made the decision on a temporary suspension of work of entry-exit checkpoints with the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.
