Minister of Health Maksym Stepanov

Ukraine's Healthcare Ministry will not be considering the introduction of total lockdown in this country on the Cabinet session on December 2. Thus, no official decision will be made in the next few days. Maksym Stepanov, the Minister said so on Tuesday evening.

"We did not offer anything like that. We've got other decrees regarding the medical system, but whatever is considered tomorrow does not concern quarantine restrictions. There are decrees on additional funding, including that for lab centers, which is a matter at hand. As for the tough quarantine, any other restrictions - we did not even consider such thing for tomorrow," Stepanov said.

All Ukrainians who want to get inoculated against Covid-19 will be able to do so by the end of 2021. Serhiy Komisarenko, the scientist and the Head of the Committee for Biological Safety and Biological Protection in the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine said so as quoted by Ukraine 24.

"By the end of the year, I guess, we'll be done with the vaccination of the entire population of Ukraine - those wishing to do so. We need to conduct an information campaign the right way, explaining that the vaccines are effective, and they are effective for people to stay healthy. Unfortunately, there still are people obsessed with the anti-vaccination propaganda, who don't want to get vaccinated. We need the maximum number of people to get vaccinated," he said.
