All stations of the Kyiv subway will be keyed to comfortable use of the people with special needs; the enterprise plans to finish works by 2020. Viktor Brahynsky, Director General of Kyiv Subway Municipal Enterprise said that as quoted by Transport Strategies Centre.

‘We expect to make the subway fully accessible by 2020; stations with major transport hubs located near them will go first – these are Livoberezhna (it already underwent major re-construction before the Eurovision 2017 in Kyiv, - 112 International), Svyatoshyn, Nyvky, Darnytsia and Chernihivska.  Our major goal is to tune the stations for the people with disabilities; we’ll set elevators, the tactile paving and special signs, modernize the doors. We’ll also upgrade the fire safety system and the wiring network. Energy saving lights will be introduced on all of the mentioned stations; that’s actually a part of our energy saving program’, Brahynsky said.
