An oil processing plant in Odesa region is on fire; the incident occurred at about 7.40 p.m. The report appeared on the website of the State Emergency Service

The staff of the plant was timely evacuated. 

Fire rescue crew of the Emergency Service reached the site and found out that the raw material burns in the air compressor room. 75 people and 22 fire vehicles of the Service are involved in fire extinguishing works.

The situation is under control; no casualties were reported.

Ruslan Forostyak, the Counselor to the Head of the regional police added that the production facility contained considerable volumes of highly flammable palm oil.  

According to Dumskaya web portal, as of 8 p.m., the fire engulfed the area of 40 square meters; as of 9 p.m, it already made 1,500 square meters. The fire was successfully localized.
