Bulgaria continues lockdown until mid-July

The government threatens to close public facilities if the citizens do not keep the social distance

The Council of Ministers of Bulgaria made a decision to extend the quarantine. Such a decision was made during today’s government session as Nova.bg reported.

“The emergency is extended until July 15,” the message said.

According to the Health Minister, the number of infected people increased 3.2 times since June 9.

The government warned that if people do not keep the social distance and do not wear individual protection means at the stadiums and night clubs, it may lead to the repeated closure of these.

“We do not plant to impose strict restrictions but we can close the stadiums if the fans do not keep the social distance,” Prime Minister Boyko Borisov said.

As of June 24, 4,114 cases of infection with Covid-19 registered in Bulgaria. 208 of the cases are lethal; over 2,000 patients recovered.

On June 24, Ukraine has set a new anti-record in terms of the number of people infected with Covid-19. Over the past 24 hours, 940 people got sick. Thus, the total number currently makes 39,014 people.
