Brussels criticized Hungary's decision to close borders for EU citizens for a month, as Deutsche Welle reports.

The European Commission believes that the decision to close the borders is discriminatory. They explain this position by the fact that Hungary made an exception for citizens of Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

The European Commission said it would soon adopt recommendations for a joint approach of EU member states to restrict travel during a pandemic.

As we reported earlier, Hungary closed its borders to foreigners due to the coronavirus. The borders will be closed from September 1.

After returning from abroad, Hungarian citizens will be sent to a mandatory 14-day quarantine.

Previously, Wizz Air decided to cancel all flights between Ukraine and Hungary.

Details of border closures and exceptions to the general ban have not yet been specified, but it is reported that the transit permit will remain.
