Brother of Kyiv court head busted for bribe served with charges

Prosecutor General of Ukraine Iryna Venediktova signed an announcement on suspicion to the brother of the head of the Kyiv District Administrative Court (KDAC) Pavlo Vovk - Yuriy. It also concerns his accomplice. The two were busted for a bribe of 100,000 dollars. Venediktova stated this on her Facebook page.

"Just an hour ago, I signed a report on the suspicion of two dealers who call themselves lawyers. They seemed to be providing legal services, but according to the National Anti-Corruption Bureau detectives and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office prosecutors, with whom I fully agree, such legal assistance leads to the defendants' bench," Venediktova said.

The Prosecutor General said that large sums of money were found and confiscated from one of the lawyers, who is the brother of the Head of KDAC Pavlo Vovk, during the investigation.

It became known earlier that the National Anti-Corruption Bureau seized 3,7 million dollars and 840 thousand euros during the searches of the brother of the head of the KDAC Pavel Vovk Yuri Zontov. Yuriy Zontov was busted for a bribe of $ 100,000 for resolving a court issue.
