Probably, he will announce the complete closure of the country, since the level of alarm will be raised to the maximum- 5th.

The UK has seen a surge in coronavirus cases in recent weeks as public health officials struggle to control the spread of a new variant of Covid-19 that is more contagious than previous variants.

Authorities have recorded more than 50,000 new infections a day since passing that milestone for the first time on December 29. On Monday, they reported 407 virus-related deaths to push the confirmed death toll total to 75,431, one of the worst in Europe.

As we reported earlier, a new strain of coronavirus was discovered in Britain. Despite the ban on air travel between countries with the UK, cases of infection were found in the USA, India, Switzerland, Portugal, Canada, France, Japan, Pakistan.

Also, several countries have announced the mutation of Covid-19, in particular Denmark, Brazil, Malaysia and some other countries. It is assumed that it may be 70% more infectious than the already familiar "version" of the coronavirus. Whether it is more deadly is still unknown.
