Brisbane to host Summer Olympics 2032, - IOC

The International Olympic Committee chose the city to host the 35th Summer Olympic Games in 2032. The competition will be taking place in Brisbane, Australia.

Participants in the 138th session of the IOC also chose the date of kick-off - July 23, 2032. 

The Australian city was the only candidate so there was no actual intrigue.

As we reported, the upcoming Olympics in Tokyo may be canceled at the nick of time since a lot of contestants get Covid-positive test results.

Reuters cited Toshiro Muto, the chief of the Tokyo 2020 organising committee. The official said that the authority could not foresee what happens if the number of infected keeps increasing. "We have agreed that based on the coronavirus situation, we will convene five-party talks again. At this point, the coronavirus cases may rise or fall, so we will think about what we should do when the situation arises", Muto noted.
