Ukraine’s Air Force lost two pilots of L-39 training aircraft, which crashed in Khmelnytsky region, central Ukraine, on Friday afternoon. Roman Yurchylo, the head of the Air Force Command’s press centre said that commenting on the accident.

‘Flight dispatchers lost the signal of L-39 aircraft at about 12.20 a.m., as the plane performed a training flight not fat from Starokostyantyniv, Khmelnytsky region. Two pilots perished in the disaster. The Air Force officials, rescue teams and law enforcers reached the site. This was one of the many flights that take place almost every day, due to intensity of pilot training programs,’ he said.

Starokostyantyniv air field hosts the 7th Brigade of tactical aviation of Ukraine’s Air Force; the unit employs Su-24Ms, the close-support bombers and L-39, the light training aircraft.
